It's true that till two decades ago Indian actors used to vie for roles in Hollywood in order to have a global image but this is not the case anymore as some Bollywood stars like Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Irrfan Khan, Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have bagged meaty projects in Hollywood.
These A-listers from Bollywood have succeeded in creating a niche for themselves and Priyanka, Deepika and Irrfan are much in demand in Hollywood.
Even as Irrfan's latest Hollywood film "Inferno" hits screens this weekend, we take a look at some Indian actors who've been part of and made their presence felt in Hollywood.
Irrfan's repertoire of Hollywood films includes "Life of Pi" (2012), "The Namesake" (2006), "A Mighty Heart" (2007), "Slumdog Millionaire" (2008), "New York, I Love You" (2008), "The Amazing Spider-Man" (2012) and "Jurassic World" (2015).
Bollywood's desi girl is going places. From winning the People's Choice Award for her American TV debut "Quantico" to signing her first Hollywood film "Baywatch," Priyanka is making waves world over.
"Baywatch," which also stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach is due for release in 2017.
The second season of "Quantico" is running successfully in the US.
